THE SEAT BELT ON DRIVER SIDE STOPPED OPERATING. MECHANISM IS STUCK AND DOES NOT MOVE THE SEAT BELT CLIP ON THE RAIL ASSEMBLY. HAD PARKED THE VEHICLE, OPENED MY DOOR BUT THE SEAT BELT STOPPED 1/3 ON THE WAY. IT KEPT TRYING TO FUNCTION PROPERLY BUT IT GAVE OUT. WHEN I WENT BACK TO THE VEHICLE, I OPENED THE DOOR AND THE WIRE CAME OUT OF THE RAIL ASSEMBLY. CALLED MULTIPLE DEALERSHIPS BUT WAS TOLD PART IS OBSOLETE. DRIVER'S SEAT BELT RAIL ASSEMBLY BROKE. I TOOK IT TO SEVERAL MECHANICS. GLENDALE, CA DEALER SAID THE PARTS ARE OBSOLETE. FROM 10/94 THRU 3/2000 I OWNED A MITSUBISHI EXPO LRV 3DRCYL AUTOMATIC, I HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AT 85,000 IN1998 AND THEN MULTIPLE TIMES IN 1999 & 2000 TILL I GOT RID OF IT. NOW I AM NOTICING A LOT OF MITSUBISHI EXPO, EAGLE SUMMIT WAGON ECT. WITH BAD TRANSMISSIONS, I WOULD LIKE YOU TO CHECK THIS OUT BECUASE I SPENT THUSANDS ON THAT TRANSMISSION, AND I KNOW OTHERS WHO DID AS WELL. *AK

SYMPTOMS WERE EXPERIENCED BEFORE 75,000 MILEAGE BUT CAUSE WAS UNDIAGNOSED. THERE WAS VIBRATION AND SHAKING UPON APPLICATION OF BRAKES AND TWO EXPERIENCES OF LOSS OF GEAR ENGAGEMENT UPON ACCELERATION AND SUBSEQUENT LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL.

THE DRIVER SIDE AUTOMATIC (SHOULDER) SEAT BELT IS STUCK IN THE UP POSITION AND HENCE CAN'T BE USED. THE SANE PROBLEM WAS THERE THREE YEARS BEFORE AND THE DEALER SAID ITS IN RECALL AND FIXED IT. BUT THIS TIME HE SAID THERE IS NO RECALL AND IT COSTS $700 TO FIX IT. THIS POSES A SERIOUS SAFETY THREAT TO THE DRIVER AND MAKES THE VEHICLE INOPERABLE. *AK

CONSUMER WAS REAR ENDED THE EXHAUST HIT THE FUEL TANK CAUSED IT TO LEAK OUT GAS . TT THE HANGER BRACKET THAT WAS WELDED TO EXHAUST PIPE WAS IN A WRONG PLACE. THE BRACKET CUT INTO FUEL TANK CAUSING A LEAK. *YH
